Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Umer Sheikh was challaned by a traffic warden for not wearing a seatbelt and using a cellphone while driving here on Thursday.
According to the channel, the CCPO who was travelling in his car in plainclothes was stopped by a traffic warden for ignoring traffic guidelines while driving. Traffic warden Khurram ticketed the newly appointed CCPO who was not aware of the senior officer. Later, CCPO Umer Sheikh introduced himself and appreciated the traffic warden’s vigilance.
The CCPO Lahore also announced certificates and prizes for all the three traffic wardens on duty in the area for performing their work vigilantly. From there, the CCPO went to North Cantonment Police Station for inspection and lauded the SHO for taking good measures and arrangements at the police station.
Later, to check the police’s first response, the CCPO lodged an application for bike theft.
